New Headteacher Appointment
Dear Parents/Guardians
As Chair of Governors at Ysgol Llywelyn, it falls to me to inform you of a change of our Senior Leadership.
Firstly, we were saddened at the departure of Mrs. Mari Gaskell, our Headteacher for ten years and thank her for the work she did to greatly improve the standard of Education during her tenure here. She has accepted a promotion with Denbighshire County Council Education Department and is now an Education Manager. We wish her well in her new post and we will make sure she does not forget Ysgol Llywelyn!
Secondly, I am delighted to inform you of the appointment of Mr. Nathan Jones as our new Headteacher. This is important for the future of Ysgol Llywelyn and our commitment to continuing excellence.
I am very proud as Chair to make this announcement as Mr Jones has proved himself to be a dedicated Teacher and has great empathy with pupils and staff alike. It was evident ten years ago that Mr Jones was destined for great things, and we are extremely fortunate to have him as our new Senior Leader and I look forward to working with him.
He has dedicated himself over the past ten years to the education and welfare of the children of Rhyl, and I know he will work hard to continue the aspirations of the school to move forward in education.
I hope you will join with me in congratulating Mr Jones and I sincerely hope that we can look forward to your continued support
Yours sincerely,
Win Mullen-James
Chair of Governors
